I'm very pleased to report that the 'litBox' is finished! I still have some minor cleanup to do, like correcting the CPU info in 'About this Mac'. My main concern with this build was getting the onboard Thunderbolt 3 USB-C port working with my Focusrite interface. I made sure to download all of the necessary drivers in Windows 10 first and got it working there before even going to MacOS.

TB3 would NOT work without the official apple TB2 to TB3 adapter, obviously in your case you might not need an adapter. Once I knew it worked in Windows it kind of just started working in MacOS. Sometimes even now it will take a reboot or two to get my interface recognized, so keep trying and remember hot plugging is not supported! It was also very helpful to test on another working Apple computer. At one point it stopped working and I couldn't figure out why; two replacement motherboards later and it was back up again. At times I would plug a mouse or external hdd in via an adapter.
